Bensenville, IL — June 25, 2026 — Fortune Fish & Gourmet (“FF&G”) and Inland Fresh Seafood Corporation of America (Inland Foods) announced today the completion of FF&G’s acquisition of Inland Foods’ Houston and New Orleans operating divisions, effective at close of business on Saturday, June 27th.

The transaction represents a strategic opportunity for both companies. Fortune Fish & Gourmet expands its presence across Texas, Louisiana, and Southern Mississippi, while Inland sharpens its focus on its core Southeast markets and positions itself for continued growth and investment across its remaining operations.

For Fortune Fish & Gourmet, the acquisition strengthens the company’s presence in two key growth markets and enables the company to serve the former Inland customers in these regions with an extensive portfolio of product offerings sourced both domestically and globally, supported by FF&G’s excellent customer service, local expertise, and its established national infrastructure.

FF&G has long maintained significant operations in both Houston and New Orleans, providing deliveries to customers six days a week throughout the states of Texas, Louisianna, and Southern Mississippi. Specific outer markets include Dallas, San Antonio, Bryan, and Austin in Texas; Lafayette and Baton Rouge in Louisiana; and Jackson, Gulfport, and Biloxi in Mississippi. Following the close of the transaction, Inland's Houston and New Orleans operations will be integrated into FF&G's existing
regional infrastructure.

“We are eager to introduce Fortune Fish & Gourmet to former Inland customers in Houston and New Orleans,” said Sean O’Scannlain, Founder & CEO, Fortune Fish & Gourmet. “Our focus is on continuity, service excellence, and earning the trust of customers through reliable supply, strong local support, and a partnership-driven approach.”

"We are pleased to have completed this transaction with a company that shares our commitment to quality, service, integrity, and long-term customer relationships," said Joel Knox, Founder of Inland Foods.

"As an employee-owned company, Inland has a responsibility to make decisions that create value for our employee shareholders while ensuring the company remains strong for future generations. We are grateful to the employees who helped build these operations and are confident they will continue to thrive under Fortune's ownership."

"This decision reflects a commitment to growth—not a retreat from it," said Chris Rosenberger, President of Inland Foods. "By concentrating our resources within the markets where we are strongest, we can invest more aggressively in our people, our customers, and the capabilities that will drive Inland forward. We are excited about the opportunities ahead across our Southeast operations and value-added businesses.”

Inland’s customers, employees, and vendors have been informed in advance of the closing, and the Fortune Fish & Gourmet teams are fully operational and prepared to service the Inland customers.

“Our teams are ready to ensure a smooth and seamless transition,” added O’Scannlain. “We are committed to building on the strong relationships Inland has established and earning each customer’s business and becoming a trusted partner for the long term.”

The transaction includes only Inland's Houston and New Orleans operating divisions. Inland will continue operating from its headquarters in Tucker, Georgia, and its divisions in Charlotte, Nashville, and Birmingham. The company will continue investing in these core markets, and in its value-added business Inland Market Premium Foods, which develops and manufactures innovative food solutions including salads, dips and spreads distributed nationwide.
