Milton Creamery is the result of a dream of the Musser family of doing something to help others in the agriculture world and beyond. Adding value to milk for dairy farmers, creating jobs in the community and creating product from art and passion of Southeast Iowa. Their Mennonite traditions value hard work, ingenuity and simple living. Many of their neighbors are Amish. While different, their shared values make it easier to work together as diary farmers and cheesemakers. All the milk comes from small Amish dairy farms, which do not give their cows artificial growth hormones. The simple dairy farming creates the simply delicious cheese at Milton Creamery.
Cheddar aged a minimum of 9 months. Sweeter than typical cheddars. Crumbly, yet creamy with wonderful calcium crystals that develop during aging. Multiple award winner.
