Sally Z. Witham joined Fortune Fish & Gourmet, as the Vice President of Fortune Gourmet, after the acquisition of Classic Provisions, where she was an owner and President. Witham brings over 20 years of gourmet food experience to Fortune. Before became an owner and President of Classic Provisions in June of 2002, she managed Surdyk’s Cheese Shop for 6 years. Prior to working in retail and cheese, Witham worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years, 16 of them as an executive chef.
Witham grew up on a cattle ranch in North Dakota. She developed her passion for food while attending the University of Colorado in Boulder and working as a cook at The Flagstaff House. From there, she traveled to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and received a culinary degree.
Sally is a Garde et Jure’ in the Guilde International Des Fromagers and has been an aesthetic judge for the 2018 ACS cheese competition and judging.
